Come make your very own Vintage-style Pottery Christmas Tree! You’ll learn how to sculpt the tree, then we will take care of the electrical wiring to bring the tree to life!

Preparation

• No Prior Experience Needed: just bring yourself and enthusiasm to make some pottery! We will walk you through everything you need to know to make your pottery vision come true.

• Wear Comfortable Clothing: pottery making can get messy, so we recommend you wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. And don’t worry if you do get a bit messy- clay comes right out in the wash!
  

Workshop Overview

1. Demonstration: our workshop begins with a demonstration of how to construct a vintage style pottery Christmas tree using hand building techniques. Then, our instructors will then guide you through each of the following steps by giving you detailed demonstration to follow as you progress.

2. Preparing the Clay: each participant will be provided with slabs of clay suitable for hand building.

3. Forming the Tree: with your clay prepared it’s time to start forming your tree! Instructors will provide guidance and assistance as you bring your tree to life.

4. Decorating: once your Christmas tree has taken shape you’ll have the opportunity to add texture and designs to personalize your creation! From carving to sculpting, our instructors will share tips with you to help you achieve your vision.

5. Finishing Touches: after you decorate, our instructors will show you how to smooth rough edges and refine your tree for a polished result.

6. Adding Lighting: after the workshop, our studio will glaze and fire your tree in a brilliant emerald green. Then we will take care of the electrical wiring, light fixtures, and ornaments for the tree. You may also opt to do this yourself

Collecting Your Finished Pottery

• We will notify you when you’re piece is ready to be picked up and be proudly showcased at home over the holidays or given as a thoughtful and unique gift.

• Come back to the workshop to pick up your piece for free, or opt to pay a shipping fee to have your work shipped to you.
